I do remember travelling on steam trains as a London child though.

What a beautifully preserved station. And it's a great idea to incorporate it into a country park - we have one of those here, with a steam train line passing close by, and a mini train for the children inside the park, but our station is nowhere near as well preserved. It fell into disrepair and had to be restored.Jayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00496924033221866102noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-130999193823092450.post-57821146980496296232010-05-19T22:27:56.770+01:002010-05-19T22:27:56.770+01:00This was so very interesting! Our state has commemorated an old railway by making it a hiking/biking trail that stretches across the state!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-130999193823092450.post-5675245320091490642010-05-19T06:08:14.895+01:002010-05-19T06:08:14.895+01:00I always loved trains and do miss the small railwa...I always loved trains and do miss the small railway stations, - so many of them have been preserved as art centres, and this is good. The little story of your railway station is a nice remembrance.Hildredhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05420791064923078834noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-130999193823092450.post-61951735860232354082010-05-19T02:20:17.815+01:002010-05-19T02:20:17.815+01:00Nice series of photos...great choice for R day.Nice series of photos...great choice for R day.Carolhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10345580399066644764noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-130999193823092450.post-10346426351898333072010-05-19T00:54:16.445+01:002010-05-19T00:54:16.445+01:00A very informative post. In addition to which I used to teach in West Kirby!ChrisJhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11550420299395301062noreply@blogger.com
