One of just three on there at the moment, usually it is full. Maybe it is due for some cosseting. Certainly no-one will be queuing pick its fruit.
But on such a beautiful weekend lots were queuing to climb on board the ferry and shorter queues because there are more doors
to climb on board one of the trains of the Thomas the Tank Engine weekend. Thomas himself was further down the line.
An entry for ABC Wednesday, a journey through the alphabet.

Your quince photos are lovely. All these years we've had quince growing and never taken any photos - tut, tut!
Do you make quince jelly and pickled quince?
I really love the colour of the blossoms! Gorgeous.
Love that shot of the quince. I think I've had quince jelly, but it is hard to find here (especailly at a reasonable price!)
My Mom had a quince plant with the most beautiful flowers. She also made quince jelly. its a lovely memory for me. Thanks.
Amazing blossoms, absolutely gorgeous.

Oh a train to Lancaster! I only ever have a brief glimpse of Lancaster as we make our way through to Heysham on route to Isle of Man - we should meet for a cuppa on one such occasion don't you think? Not sure but i think it is a Thursday or Friday we travel in 2012.

What a lovely post. The quince flower was lovely, the fruit a bit sad. But my favorite was the Thomas weekend. My son used to LOVE THomas. He's long outgrown the train and the series, but Thomas will always have a special place in our hearts.
don't think I've had quince.
Loved Thomas.

It has occurred to me that I've never eaten anything quince. Perhaps I shall seek out some jam.
The quince blossoms are beautiful - the color so deep and lush! Love the train.
That train ride looks like it'd be fun! I wouldn't even mind queuing up for it.

I don't think I have seen a quince tree but I have eaten a pear like golden fruit available in the markets!!Besides a kind of pickled jam (called Muraba) is also made and generally found on shop stands.
Nice photo of the quince. We have them here and I love seeing them along fence lines.
Gorgeous!

Great for the meme! And great pictures whether meme or not! Quince for temptation huh? I wish all my temptations were as easy to resist. ;>)
