Up

Tying Up on the River Lazy where it  meets the Duddon Estuary on the Cumbrian coast.

Up high, glad I'm not at the top of this very long ladder in Leeds.

Stepping Up on the 'Sandstone Trail' steps on Bickerton Hill, Cheshire.

where there is a nice view up at the top of Broxton village but some find the undergrowth smells more interesting

An entry to ABC Wednesday, a journey through the alphabet, this week sojourning at U here

a beautiful area! Don't remember, but what is Cumbria known for?
Also, on your post below, you mention the pollarded wood -does that come from the pollard willows? The latter were the trees that are in Vincent van Gogh's paintings... that's why I'm curious:)

Cumbria is the home of the English Lake District so known for its lakes, hills, and oh and rain, Jeanette, I have shown a corner of the south west sometimes known as lakeless Lakeland. Willows are scarce here although any tree can be pollarded but maybe I should have called the wood in my photo coppiced.

I like the 'tying up'picture along with the steps up and of course the dog 'so' not enjoying the delightful view, preferring to sniff around instead!
Lovely pictures Joy,
Best wishes,

Good pictures, but the first one is the best for me. I love green and blue together.
