Pedal Power

If only they had made the sign of the same material as the bicycle, but although aged, it is still selling the bike. The slogan was to differentiate this bike from their competitors who used cast iron for some of the critical parts, making them heavier than the all-steel Raleigh. .
I can imagine this workshop being filled with bicycles in its heyday. Perhaps with another sign inside
in stainless steel.
A world away from today's bikes.

An entry for Signs, Sign

Bluebell Day

It was very quite in the town and countryside today, no sign even of the dog walkers, but there was the
buzz of the bees, and the rustle of the breeze
through the blossom. Was there something happening today?  As we passed through Cartmel Priory churchyard
a father said to his little girl. "The princess is getting married today", to which she replied, " Oh In there?"  "No not there" he said to her disappointment.

Spring Has Sprung

We are here and we are blooming wonderful. What about the rest of you?
Nearly with you, one last push, eeeew
Truly today was a beautiful and warm spring day. I liked contrast of  trees the first ones on the left starting to bud and very slightly green, the next still with bare branches and in the background the firs, green all year round.
