zephyr which meant that the wind was not whistling this corridor but there was still things to hear
and to see
Dancing to the sounds
Or just the closing of eyes and relaxing
But watch out for the UFOs
There is Ulverston clustered down below as the contraptions whirl on Birkrigg Common.
This was Harmonic Fields brought to the area at the beginning of June by Lieux publics (France) as part of the Lakes Alive 2011 events. 500 instruments creating a musical soundscape. Here is a video from someone who was here here at the weekend on a greyer but windier day

That was fun and interesting.
What a fun, different post for the U Day! I love it! It would be fun to see this for real, but your terrific photos are the next best thing! Hope your week is off to a good start! Enjoy!

Wow - that is something else - but I am sure those sounds would be ringing in my ears long after my leaving the area - but Ulverston is certainly now on my list of places to go
What a neat post!!! I leave with my world opened just a bit more. Thank you.
I think I could play all day....then leave with a headache!!

Fabulous! Visual as well as aural - but you wouldn't want it all the time;-)
Unusual and interesting, but I think I wold need earplugs after a while. It's a little unharmonious. Good post for U
Interesting choice of U.
"U" are invited to see the "U" at my page. Have a great evening.
Brilliant! I love it and want that in my town too!! Except we have a lot of sand when the wind blows.
Now that is an unusual installation! And this spot upland from Ulverston seems the ideal spot for it. Thanks for including the video.
